Black and white 3 1/2"h x 3 1/2"w photo of the interior of Bachelor's Hope. A fireplace is in the center of the photo. The firebox has a scalloped arch at the top and is very noticeable with freshly tuckpointed brick. There are five or six courses of brick in the floor also. There is a firescreen in front, a brush hanging on the left, a small black pot for ashes on the hearth, fire tools and a warming pan on the right. The wall around the firplace is paneled to the ceiling. A candle scone is on each edge of the paneling and some sort of decorative plate is hanging in the center of the space. There is a chair with a doll on the right and a table supporting a candlestick on the left. It looks like a miniature tobacco prize. On the wall on the right is a framed sampler. A small framed item hangs to its left. There is another framed piece on the opposite wall. There is a cupboard next to the dolls's chair that has a small lamp on the top. A large round rug is in front of the fireplace.
