3 1/2"h x 4 3/4"w black and white photo of the Ballenger-Trice house, once known as the Ark and Dove Inn. It was a large white two story home with a gable roof with a large dormer and a two story addition on one gable end. There was a screened porch on the first floor of the other gable end. There were two large chimneys just past the roof peak on each side of the dormer; the one on the left carried the antennae. There was an additional metal chimney between the main house and the addition. There was a large Palladian window in the peak of the dormer. On the second floor, there were four six over six shuttered windows, two on each side of a pair of small four over four shuttered windows that were centered over the front door. The second floor of the addition was not as tall as the main house, but it had three six over six shuttered windows also. On the first floor, the entry was in the center of the elevation with a long narrow light on each side of the door. A half circle flat roof supported by two posts protected the entry area. There were two large six over six double hung shuttered windows on the left and a very large thirty-two light picture window with shutters on the right. In the addition, the door was in the center of the space and had a tiny gable roof cover. There were no windows on the left, but three small windows without shutters were on the right. A circle drive curved in front of the house.
