4 7/8"h x 8"w black and white photo of a Baltimore & Sparrows Point Railroad road number 2 locomotive. The equipment was facing left in front of a large commercial brick building. If this photo was really taken in 1916, it may have been one of the last locomotives with the B & SP name; the railroad's name was changed that year. This engine had front coupling equipment, a large light on top of the smokebox, followed by the smokestack, a dome, a bell, and two more domes. It is difficult to see, but there may have been three pairs of driving wheels, a pair of smaller wheels under the cab, and two pair of wheels under the coal car. The side wall of that car sloped steeply down to the floor on the visible side. There may have been a rotating arrangement to carry coal from a pile into the coal car.
