4 1/4"h x 3 3/8"w black and white photo of Bard's Field on Calvert's Neck in Ridge. It was a typical story and a half, porches integrated into the roofline on either side, two chimneys at each gable end, St. Mary's County house. In this view, there were two chimneys with a pent between on a gable end. The right hand chimney stack had failed down to the shoulder. At the shoulder of the left chimney was a four light window. There may have been a similar window on the side of the right chimney, but it was boarded over. The pent had a typical shed roof that protected an entry door. There were no windows in the gable end on the first level. The building appeared to be covered with asbestos siding in a faux brick pattern on the left side of the complete chimney. Clapboard siding was exposed on the rest of the gable end.
