Description

The Courts were selected to be photographed for a USDA Extension Service filmstrip about self-sufficiency on the farm--grow and preserve your own food to obviate the need for cash. This is a black and white photo. Photo 14. Fred Court and his brother-in-law Tom Guyther are bartering produce. There are two bushel baskets of turnips and one bushel of apples on the kitchen table. Mr. Court appears to be comparing the merits of the two products while Mr. Guyther looks on. There is a large dark bowl of eggs on a table in the background.
