A folder containing many different records belonging to Benedict Booth Love Jr. These records include a certificate of recognition for services rendered to the nation and state on registration day, a Bureau of Navigation Navy department service record for Love's position as a Seaman second class, and Love's baptism certificate. In addition, there is a pass for entry to state, war, and navy department buildings that sits in between a yellow translucent piece of plastic and thick paper; these two pieces are bound together by a red thread. A card from the VA, signed by Frank T. Hines, noting that his application for settlement of assisted service was received. A gray envelope with handwritten notes and the typed address of the Navy Department, where all of the documents were found.Collection
