3 3/8"h x 5 3/8"w dark sepia postcard of Benedict B. Love's horse-drawn hearse with a clear glass case for the casket. Mr. Love and his African-American assistant were seated above and ahead of the glass case. Two black horses stood quietly in front. There were sizable carriage lamps on the front of the case. The wheels at the back of the case were larger diameter than those in front. There were brass? fittings inside the case to slide the casket in and out. There was something on top of the case, but the photo is too dark to tell what it was. Handwritten across the bottom of the photo was "B Love Funeral Director Morganza Md." The photo was very dark and the background was ill-chosen--it did not provide any contrast with the dark equipment.
