1 folder ; 14 3/4" w x 9 5/8" h Folder 000491. Pieces 491-500 J. Marshall was the St. Mary's County treasurer in this time period and had to travel in the county to collect taxes. He sent a letter to his wife, Ida, from Park Hall. There is a letter to Ida from her son, Wright, from his job at Baltimore Bridge Co. and a letter from her son, Francis, from Wilmington, N.C. Francis' wife, Ruth, had tuberculosis and was in a sanitarium and not expected to live. There are letters from Elliott from his job at a mining camp in Hayden, AZ and from Europe when he was an officer in the artillery during World War I.
