There is a sad letter from Kate in Georgia--her husband was traveling and her baby Lillia was very sick. There are letters from Fannie when she was married and living in Georgia and in Maryland. One of her letters contains a page from another person's letter discussing John F. Dent's impending marriage to Lucy Chandler, his second wife. One letter is from Francis King asking John F. Dent to reconsider his stand on a school bill.
