1 folder ; 14 3/4" w x 9 5/8" h Folder 000248. Pieces 1151-1170 This folder has a few small sheets of bills for road work. There is a large sheet of extremely poor paper dated 1804-1809. It appears to be a store account of Henry Wood with Hugh Johnson. In 1846, John F. Dent paid tuition at Charlotte Hall School? for 2 Posey children. There are many pieces that record fairly complicated transactions where one person bought something on behalf of another person to be repaid later. There are also records of land sales. There is one sheet billing the school commissioners for schoolhouse improvements for which Mr. Dent paid. Dr. R.P. Blakistone sent Mr. Dent a letter asking Dent to pay as much of Blakistone's bill as he possibly could because Blakistone had been hit with several judgments. Several sheets have to do with a court case involving Ellen T. Allstan in the 1840s. This is a very interesting folder.
