1 folder ; 14 3/4" w x 9 5/8" h Folder 000303. Pieces 1271-1290 This folder has a few pieces about John F. Dent's management of the affairs of his ward Robert D. Posey. Robert Posey spent a lot of money, especially on clothes. There are several pieces showing Mr. Dent borrowed large sums from R.P. Blakistone in 1859. He also bought a Chickering piano. Transporting it to Burlington must have been a challenge. There is an accounting between John F. and Alexander C. Dent over several years for land sales, use of slaves, etc., that ended with John F. being owed $1.93.
