Marshall Dent being elected as a County Commissioner in 1885 and one for his election to county Treasurer in 1901. There is a copy of a speech given by John F. Dent in 1867 at a large meeting in Baltimore. There is a copy of a speech given by J. Marshall Dent at a Sabbath School in Griffin, Georgia in 1871. There is a copy of a speech written by John F. Dent for a jousting tournament. There is a copy of a speech by an unknown person in honor of General Smallwood. There are notes taken by John F. Dent of a speech given by General Blair to the Maryland General Assembly in 1864. There are three report cards for Kate Dent for the summer of 1857, charting her progress at Hannah More's Academy.
