Scope and Content

1 folder ; 14 3/4" w x 9 5/8" h Folder 000078. Pieces 2201-2210. Several sheets in this folder are part of a mailing urging Mr. Dent to be the salesman for a book. There is a poem written on the occasion of the assassination of President Garfield sent to Mr. Dent by an illegible correspondent. There is a copy of what may have been a speech given by Mr. Dent about the difficulty of good men finding work in government. There is a draft of a letter written in pencil in very tiny script apparently responding to a request for advice, but I cannot make it out. There is a folder of the landings visited by the steamer T. V. Arrowsmith.
