Two sheets 17 3/4"h x 24 3/8"w with drawings for a 75' x 63' building that was to be the home of American Legion Post No. 255 in Ridge, Md. The designer was James Dobry.
Sheet 1 showed the foundation plan and a sample footing section.
Sheet 2 had a front elevation at the top and a floor plan on the bottom. The gathering hall had a sloping roof and the office area had a flat roof. There were two glass entry doors and two pairs of four light jalousie or awning windows in the office area. The lone chimney was in the office area. The floor plan indicated the Post would share some of its space with some type of emergency vehicles, likely an ambulance, in the back left part of the building. Immediately to the right of the foyer was a cloak room and to the left was the big hall. The kitchen and serving counter were at the far end of that space. Straight ahead of the foyer was the "Refreshment Room." Opposite the cloak room were the toilets. Along that hallway was an office for the Auxiliary and an office for the Post and a bunk room, presumably for the first responders. There were general notes about footings, walls and beams and a section of notes about lintels.Collection
