Scope and Content

1 folder ; 4 sheets at 36 1/2" x 27" of the plan for a significant renovation of the County Trust building. Not all the sheets are present, specifically any mechanical or electrical sheets. Bernard Evander was the architect from Baltimore. The drawings were approved in May 1940. In addition, there is a plat of the property of the County Trust Company of Maryland in Leonardtown dated June 28, 1950 by W. L. Bowman for Harder and Dressel, Architects in Glen Burnie. Why this was done ten years after the renovation is a mystery--perhaps someone in the corporate offices wanted surveys of all the Trust properties. There is an additional blueprint called Part Plan for County Trust Co. of MD Leonardtown done in 1951. Drawing 1 of 2 This sheet shows the public lobby and inside counter elevation, a longitudinal section of the lobby, a floor plan of the public area and a ceiling plan of the same. Drawing 2 of 2 1 smaller sheet at 29 3/8" x 22 3/4" is a floor plan and details of the lobby and counters before the renovation. Drawing A1 shows a small site plan, the basement plan, slab construction detail, has a schedule of lintels and details about the doors Drawing A2 1st floor plan, glazed partition details, roof plan, mezzanine plan Drawing A6 Partition details, desk and counter details No date 10"h x 13"w drawing of the Leonardtown property based on the deed description at a scale of 1"=10' June 28, 1950 21 7/8"h x 20 7/16"w drawing of the on-the-ground survey of the County Trust Company of Maryland Leonardtown property. It was on the corner of Washington and Madison streets. In 2018, Madison Street is called Fenwick Street. V&H Bakery was next to the Trust on the Washington Street side and the Center Corporation Building was next to it on the Madison Street side. The bench mark for the survey was in the middle of Madison Street on the north rim of the sanitary sewer manhole. February 22, 1951 This version of the space has the cashier's office at one end and the directors meeting room on the Washington Street side. There is no indication of how the public space would be furnished--no counters, for instance.
