This is a Holy Bible. It has a dark brown cover with a gold frame very near the edge and then another frame 4 1/4"h x 2 1/2"w with elaborate decorations on each corner centered on the cover. It may well be that the owner's name was to be embossed in this space. There are six rectangular panels traced in gold on the spine, with "Holy Bible" in the second panel from the top. Inside the front cover is pasted a newspaper copy of a poem and on the opposite page is pasted the death notice of Fannie Dent Wright of Georgia who died of tuberculosis. There are several cards and news clippings tucked in the Bible.Collection
