Description

Copy of "A History of Maryland from its settlement in 1634 to the year 1848 ... for the use of schools." by James McSherry, Esq., published in in Baltimore in 1852 by John Murphy & Co. It has dark brown cardboard covers with an indecipherable escutcheon in the center of the front cover, framed by four indented lines with flowers at each corner. Sadly, the spine is entirely missing. On the inside front cover is written in ink, "A present to J. Marshall Dent from his Uncle Col. James T. Blakistone Dec. 1857." There is a little figuring in pencil on the inside back cover and flyleaf. There do not seem to be any illustrations.
