Book called "Popular Life of Gen. Robert Edward Lee" by Emily V. Mason published in 1872 in Baltimore. This is a brown leather book with a very plain title on the spine and no other decoration. Mr. Dent bought this book in 1872. Someone scribbled in the back of the book and Mr. Dent admonished that person, "Don't scribble in my books." There are a few illustrations, including a not very good portrait of the general. A folded copy of the primary ballot for a time when Ritchie ran for Governor is between two pages.Collection
