Bristol FarthingEntry/Object ID
2014.018.0005Description
13/16" coin with "C.B 1652" in the center and "Bristol Farthing" around the outside circumference. On the verso the text "The Armes of Bristol" is printed around the outside circumference and a ship and a castle are in the center. The outer rim feels smooth. "C.B." means City of Bristol and Maryland did robust trade with the port of Bristol. An informative sheet accompanies the coin, probably written by Crolian Edelen. The coin is very dark, but if such coins were cleaned, it might be silver color.Collection
