Description

This is a color photo of Mr. Briscoe blown up to 20" x 16" and mounted on heavy board. It is on linen finish paper. There is no date on the picture, but it was probably taken in the 1980s. Mr. Briscoe is seated in a large brown leather chair in a paneled room that has lots of pictures on the wall to his right. He has on dark trousers and a long sleeved pale dusty green dress shirt with a light beige contrasting collar. He has on a blue and off-white striped tie that loosely captures the neck of his shirt. He has a small metal tie bar with a circle in its center that carries a logo of some kind. The shirt pocket is not buttoned and may contain a pack of cigarettes. The ubiquitous yellow straw hat with the St. Mary's County legend is tipped back off his forehead. A table immediately to Mr. Briscoe's right is piled with documents and letters. An adjustable lamp with black metal parts and a natural linen shade is also on the right. "C 198" is written in red marker on the back of the photo in a corner, but there is no explanation for that number.
