Description

This is a black and white photo of Mr. Briscoe and two members of the St. Mary's County Chamber of Commerce as the Chamber presented Mr. Briscoe a certificate of appreciation for his efforts on behalf of the county. Mr. Briscoe is wearing his characteristic St. Mary's County straw hat, dark trousers, and a striped dress shirt with an open collar loosely captured by a patterned necktie. He is looking at the camera as he clasps the two gentlemen on the shoulders. The man on the left has on a white short-sleeved shirt, a striped tie, and light colored trousers. The gentleman on the right has on a dark short sleeved shirt, a striped tie, and light trousers. They hold the framed certificate between them and in front of Mr. Briscoe. The Chamber's logo is framed on the wall behind the group. There is a long table and several chairs in front of the men, and on the table is a large walking stick, presumably Mr. Briscoe's, and two ashtrays. This is a typical picture of its type.
