Description

This is a 4 5/8"h x 7"w black and white photo Mr. Briscoe on a piece of 8 1/2" x 11" paper. He was seated behind a table in front of a metal building, perhaps at the fairgrounds. He had on his signature hat, a light colored jacket, shirt and striped tie, loosely knotted. There was a plaque propped up on the table in front of him; his name was visible on the cartouche, but the rest of the text was not legible. There was an enormous bow next to the plaque. Text on the sheet: "One of the last pictures taken of Arthur "Buck" Briscoe 1987 Mr. St. Mary's County To the man who has done more to reveal the magic of the County to strangers, friendships, who's guidance, leadership, eloquence and gift of friendship is respected and cherished." ************************************************* Text on verso: none
