Description

3 1/8"h x 3/18"w black and white photo of the meat house at Buena Vista. The building was probably square or nearly so. It had a steep gable roof and horizontal riven clapboards on the gable end. Some sort of pipe or stick was attached to the gable end and extended above the roof line. There were corner posts on the building. There was a door made of three wide boards in the center of the side of the building. It did not fit the space very well. It appeared to have metal strap hinges. In keeping with its use, the building had no windows. ****************************************************** Text on verso: in pencil "Buena Vista meat house"
