Buoy shed interior at Point LookoutEntry/Object ID
1980.001.0052Description
5"h x 7"w black and white photo of the interior of the buoy shed at the Point Lookout Light Station, a large gable-roofed industrial building with mostly board and batten wood siding. This view was of two doors into interior rooms in the larger building. The white door on the left was for the radio room. It had a four light window in its upper half and a "Danger High Tension Electricity Keep Out" sign on the lower half. The white door on the right was for the store room. It was plain and low with a "No Smoking" sign where a window might have been. Both doors were set into a board and batten wall that was likely ten feet high--it reached to the underside of the rafters. To the right of the store room door was an electrical outlet and piles of plywood and other lumber. To the left of the doors was an interior wall of the larger building with exposed studs. The floor appeared to be dirt.
