2"h x 2"w black and white photo of the Burlington Farm house was in the upper left corner of a white Christmas card 4 1/8"h x 5 1/2"w. The card had simple line drawings of two houses and text: "Greetings from our house to your house." The photo showed a two and a half story house with a standing seam gable roof. One inside end chimney was visible on the left. There was a center bloc with a dormer with a gable roof at right angles to the rest of the house. There was one narrow window with dark shutters, flanked by two very narrow windows with shutters in the dormer, then three windows on the second floor and two windows and a center door on the first floor covered by another gable roof to form a porch. On the left side of the center bloc there were two windows with shutters on the second floor. Any other windows were obscured by shrubbery. There was a two story addition on the left side of the main building that had two windows with dark shutters on each floor. There was shrubbery and mature trees in the yard. A long gravel drive led to the house and made a ninety degree turn to the left when it neared the house. A small two track led toward the front door; in the photo there was a small dark car parked there. There appeared to be a widow's walk on top of the house.
Someone had tried to write on the front of the card, but the ink would not take. I think it said, "Our warmest love always from the Burlington gals."
