3 13/16"h x 4"w muted color photo of the front elevation of Burlington. It was a two and a half story white clapboard house with dark shutters and a gable roof. The roof material may be metal. In the middle of the long axis of the roof there was a large gable at right angles to the main roof covering what was almost a two and a half story addition at the front of the house. In the roof peak was one narrow central window with an even narrower window on each side. There were shutters. On the second floor were two large windows with shutters. On the first floor there was a three bay porch two or three steps above ground. On each side of the central bloc were two large windows with shutters on each floor. There was at least one inside end chimneys on each gable end. A later addition on the left was two stories, but was not as tall as the main house. There were two large windows with shutters on the front and the gable end. There appeared to be a stairway to the second floor that wrapped around the back of the house, so perhaps that floor was an apartment. There were trees and bushes and lawn around the house.
