Description

The Courts were selected to be photographed for a USDA Extension Service filmstrip about self-sufficiency on the farm--grow and preserve your own food to obviate the need for cash. This is a black and white photo. Photo 24. Fred Court is waiting for B. Gorman Swann, postmaster at Piney Point, to fill out the paper work for a $2.50 money order. I am not sure what this photo signifies. Perhaps that one need not rely on banks for monetary transactions.
