3 1/8"h x 3 1/8"w black and white photo of Calvert's Rest in Ridge. It was a two story house, brick below, frame above and much altered over the years. This view was from one gable end. The original wall was brick and a clapboard second story had been built around the brick. There was an inside end chimney in the peak of each gable end. There were no windows in this gable end. The Flemish bond brickwork could be seen, even in this small snapshot. On the front elevation there were three four over four windows on the second floor and a twelve over twelve window on each side of the center door. There was a small raised porch with open space underneath. There may have been a two story addition to the right.
