Black and white 3 1/2"h x 3 1/2"w photo of the gable end of the house at Calvert's Rest near Ridge, Md. It is easy to see how the brick work and clapboard meshed. There is an inside end chimney at this end of the house. There are no windows on either floor at this end. Up near the roof peak is a small rectangle, but I can't tell what it is. On the right, a rocking chair is visible on the porch and a one story gable roofed addition is at right angles to the main building. It has small inside end chimneys at each end. There is a window on the left and a door? on the right.
