Description

One 3 7/8"h x 5 7/8"w color photo of the Canter House after remodeling. It has a gable roof with two large dormers in this elevation. There are two inside end chimneys. The roof is obscured by snow. The house has buff colored siding. There is one window in each dormer, six over six double hung. On the second floor there are four windows with dark shutters; these windows are also six over six. A large hip roofed open porch runs the entire length of the elevation--seven bays. There are steps up to it in the center and on the left end. On the first floor there is a large center door. There is one window with dark shutters on the right and two windows with dark shutters on the left. There are American flags on two of the porch posts. On the gable end of the house there are two windows in the attic, a bay window with three windows and a single window on the second floor, three windows in the first floor bay window and at least two other windows on that floor. The oil tank is visible on the side of the house. There is a very small lean to addition on the back of the house that includes a small window. A hipped roof shed the same color as the house is in the back yard. A small truck is in the driveway behind the house. There may be a bell on a stand in the front yard. There is a two level ha-ha wall between the front yard and the sidewalk. A mailbox and a newspaper tube are in front by the street. ********************************** Text on verso: in black ball point ink "Canter House Ch Hall--after remodeling 2005"
