Description

This is a formal color potrait of Captain Patrick Flanary. He is in his dark navy blue uniform with white shirt and plain navy tie. He has on a white hat with the Navy crest in the center and gold braiding and insignia on the bill. An unknown pin is on his right breast along with his name tag identifiying him as "Commanding Officer," probably of the Patuxent Naval Air Test Center. On his left breast are his aviator wings and service ribbons. There are four gold stripes on his sleeve and one star. He has an Academy ring and a gold watch. There is an American flag on a staff to his right. The photo is inscribed, "To Buck Briscoe with great respect. Pat Flanary CAPT USNAVY" The sticker on the back of the photo gives a date of 3-17-82 and PAP of 36S [or 5]8.
