Sepia tone 2 3/4"h x 4 1/2"w photo of Carthagena in Drayden. This photo shows a story and a half gable roofed house with inside end chimneys on each gable end. The right chimney has one edge at the roof peak, but the left chimney is a little way down from the peak toward the front of the house. There are two gable roof dormers with six over six double hung windows. On the first floor, there is an off-center door set deep into the building, indicating very thick walls, a nine over six window on the right and a similar window on the left. There is a crude fence in front of the house. There may be a gate at the walk to the door. The house is a light color and may be stuccoed. There are no visible openings in the left gable end. Text on scrapbook page: "Carthagena, built by William Hebb in 1711, torn down in 1934. The bricks were used to build the fence in front of the State House at St. Mary's City. From old photos."
