3 1/8"h x 3 7/8"w black and white photo of Cecil's Mill in Great Mills. Mr. Fenwick called this photo Clifton Factory, but the factory burned long ago and the mill was built on its foundations around 1900. It was a going concern until the early 1940s. There were two massive dark clapboard buildings that joined together on their gable ends. The roof pitch on one building was steeper and higher. There were two shed roof additions on the road side of the taller building. The gable end closest to the camera had two six light windows in the roof peak and two large openings, one above the other, on the first and second stories. There were probably two windows in the peak of the taller building and three visible windows on its second floor. The nearest addition had a pair of large doors with a six light window in each door.
