Cedar Point Lighthouse. Color transparency. View is from the air, probably looking northwest. I believe this is the west side of the house. Large two-tone two story home with a gable roof and the light on north side of the roof. On the second floor are two double windows barely visible on the gable end. Below is a three bay porch with pillars, a railing all around and a leanto roof. The space under the porch is enclosed. On the far side of the house roof is a large square structure. On top of it is a square platform with a metal? fence to provide a railing. Above that is an eight-sided windowed structure capped by a circular roof with a ball on top, just like the Blakiston Light. The house is in a derelict condition, sitting on a pentagonal concrete pad. On the left is a small pile of concrete and bricks, but all the outbuildings are gone. The shoreline has a rock revetment. There is the remains of a wooden pier projecting into the water on the near side of the house. It is all very stark and sad.Collection
