Cemetery at The Plains 1Entry/Object ID
2014.009.0243Description
4"h x 6"w color photo of the cemetery at The Plains. The original house and land were turned into the Golden Beach development, but a preservation group fenced in the cemetery. This photo shows the brick and wrought iron wall--a solid brick wall alternated with an elegant length of wrought iron fencing. A few tablet graves can be glimpsed through the iron fencing. There was a high wooden fence on the other side of the space over which one could see unattractive 20th century housing. There are massive trees in the cemetery.
