5" h x 7" w black and white photo of part of the ceremony dedicating St. Mary's County airport. An elderly woman was shaking hands with Elliott Burch as she held a bouquet of roses. She had white hair, dark glasses, and was wearing a short sleeve striped dress with a white collar and belt. She had a heart-shaped pin at the V of her neckline. Two men were standing on the wing of a small airplane. The man in the dark glasses may have been Sonny Norris, an attorney. The woman may have been a Mrs. Norris, Sonny's grandmother. The airport may have been built on the Norris farm.
