John Carroll award presented to Mr. Beitzell on October 17, 1964 at the 13th dinner. The presentation binder is dark blue leatherette with silver print. 4" from the top and centered left to right is "The John Carroll Award" in 3/8" silver upper case letters. 1 1/8" from the bottom edge and 1" from the spine is "Edwin W. Beitzell '28" in 3/16" silver upper case letters. The citation is on the left interior, protected by mylar and held in place by white ribbons on each corner. Mr. Beitzell was cited as a company executive, a man of high ethical principles, and a historian. On the opposite side is a certificate, also protected by mylar and held in place by white ribbons on each corner. The Georgetown University Alumni Association conferred the John Carroll Award for 1964 upon Edwin W. Beitzell, '28. In the lower left corner of the certificate are the seals of the University and of John Carroll in gold.Collection
