Scope and Content

1 page ; 16 1/2"h x 13 1/8"w This document was presented to Mr. Fenwick by Meredith Capper. The documents were found in an old house on Capper land. The house has since been torn down. Mr. Fenwick's note says Amanda Floyd Dunbar later married David Tyler, so perhaps the Dunbars were associated with this land and house. This survey is for Faunkirk, part of Bogue's Increase and part of St. John's. Remarks on the survey are in the upper left corner, the survey is in the center, and the courses are on the bottom. John F. Wathen signed the document as surveyed on December 27, 1850. On the verso is a small box that says this is Cornelius Payne's plot purchased [from] A. B. Symms composed of Bogue's Increase, St. John's, etc. 307 1/2 acres.
