Charles E. Fenwick Collection--Capper Group--Survey of Faunkirk, etc. for Thomas Reeder
Entry/Object ID
1995.001.1446
Scope and Content
1 page ; 9"h x 8w
This document was presented to Mr. Fenwick by Meredith Capper. The documents were found in an old house on Capper land. The house has since been torn down. Mr. Fenwick's note says Amanda Floyd Dunbar later married David Tyler, so perhaps the Dunbars were associated with this land and house.
This small sheet lists the courses for the sale of part of St. John's to Thomas Reeder by James Warwick. The courses for Bogue's Increase are on the left and Faunkirk's are on the top right.
Text in the right center: "James Warwick deed to Thomas Reeder the 4th day of March 1760 for part of a tract of land and conveyed by deed as follows: All that land or part of a tract of land called St. John's where on he now lives being part of St. John's containing 150 acres more or less."
The surveyor's name is not on this document, but he is listed as a Mr. Locke on other documents pertaining to this transaction.
