This folder contains four petitions to the circuit court of St. Mary's county. Three of the petitions revolve around the estate of Peregrine Hayden and one petition involves the will of Elwily Smith and legatee Caroline Miles. These appear to be original copies and have been encapsulated to protect them. Photocopies of the Hayden petitons are in the Hayden Family file and the Smith/Miles petition photocopy is in the Miles Family file.Collection
