John Shircliffe was 58 years old at the time of the deposition. He said the first John Shircliffe had two sons, John and William. John had no children and William had four boys. The eldest of those children, also John, sold the rights to the Medley's Neck property. His son, also John, was offered money for the rights to the Medley's Neck land, but he told the person it had been sold long ago.
Enoch Greenwell, aged 65, testified he could not remember the existence of a slave quarter on Broad Neck. There is a photocopy and an attempt at a transcription in the folder.Collection
