This is volume one, number one of the Patapsco Young Ladies' Magazine, published by the senior class of the Patapsco Female Institute of Ellicotts Mills, Maryland in January, 1850. There are articles, poetry and stories. It is not clear why Mr. Fenwick chose to save this issue. The cover features an elaborate engraving of the Institute building with suitable flowers, leaves, and other decorative devices around it. The magazine was planned as a quarterly and its subscription was $1.50 per year.Collection
