This is a watercolor painting of the seal of Saint Mary's County, diameter twelve inches. The outer ring has a yellow background with black letters about an inch square. The text begins about "eight o'clock" as ST. MARY'S COUNTY MARYLAND, ending at "four o'clock." 1637 is in the "six o'clock" position. The background for the remaining part of the circle is fuschia, with yellow lions rampant and Lord Baltimore's crest in the usual colors. The seal is very well done, but is on very poor quality paper.Collection
