219 sheets of photocopies in a brown binder. This was originally held in the Research Center as 929.375241 SAI, but was later transcribed and indexed by Wanda Schuhart in 2004 to make it more usable. Ms. Schuart's book is in the Research Center and this copy is a backup. It has been determined that this information is not on film at the State Archives. It is much better to use Ms. Schuhart's book than this copy.
The title on the binder is Court Docket E.J.M. 1809-1840 and a Bond Docket.
E. J. M. stands for Enoch J. Millard, the clerk. Occasionally there are references to JF, this being James Forrest. Quoting Ms. Schuhart's introduction: "It seems to be Administrative Accounts recording those recently deceased and their Administrator or Administratrix (when appointed by the court) or their Executor or Executrix (named in a will). The first part of this collection was Administrative Accounts. The date given when letters were granted is the closest time to the death of an individual that we now have, establishing within a week or so the actual time of death of that person. ... The administrator/executor is named first, the deceased is the second name. ... the orphan is named second and the guardian or [surviving] parent is named first. ... The Administrative Accounts begins with number 241 dated December 31, 1809 and ends with number 880 dated April 1834. Apparently pages were lost from the original document during the time it was in use at the Court House. ... There is a notation of missing pages in this transcription as they come up ... The Orphan's Court Accounts begin with number 41 dated March 1803 and ends with number 610 dated May 1836. There are entries postdated that go back to 1795 ...."Collection
