There is an incomplete copy of the early report of the Commission to Study the Feasibility and Desirability of Restoring Historic St. Mary's City recommending restoration of the site, a copy of House of Delegates Bill no. 835, as introduced on February 28, 1966 and as signed by the governor March 25, 1966 establishing St. Mary's City Commission as the "manager" of the historic St. Mary's City site. There is a copy of the first edition of the outline plan for the City published in 1967, a copy of the second edition of the plan published in 1969, a paper dated February 1, 1972 arguing for preservation of the rural character of the site, and multi-year development plans for the city: 1974-1983, 1975-1984, 1977-1986. There is a proposal to create a large, multi-disciplinary study of society in colonial Chesapeake, probably prepared by Lois Carr in 1975.
