This is a sheet taken from a ledger. At the request of a Mr. Walker, Joseph Dunbar surveyed the land owned by Robert Saxton at the time of his death. Mr. Dunbar was assisted by interested neighbors: Basil Alvey, Mr. Gristy[?], William Suttle [?], and Burt [?] Saxton. Tracts of land mentioned were Clever, Mattingly's Hope, Hayden's Discovery, and Cleever. There were other tracts mentioned, but the names were not legible. The courses are given and the drawing is at the top of one page, showing a total of 175.3.26 acres. On the verso of the sheet is the drawing for Combs Purchase. The courses are not listed and were probably on an adjoining page that is not here.Collection
