1 sheet ; 2 7/8"h x 7 3/4"w This is one of 25 individual pieces found in the courthouse trash by G. Frank Wathen and given by him to J. Allan Coad, who subsequently gave them to Mr. Fenwick. The archivist found the documents folded and bundled together at the bottom of a carton that was part of Mr. Fenwick's collection; some of the pieces are so frail, it is a miracle they survived. This legal form FI.FA records the court's judgment in favor of Geo. C. Morgan & Joseph S. Ford, administrators of John B. Hayden's estate against Mary J. Fowler & George H. Morgan for a little more than $86.00. On December 22, 1862, Francis M. Goddard was directed to collect the debt by January 29, 1863. There is no mention of the reason for the debt, but it might be for hire of a laborer. On the verso is considerable figuring to determine the interest. A note of October 1, 1863, says George Morgan provided a draft for $118.83 on Neale & Harris to F. M. Goddard.
