1 sheet ; 12"h x 7 1/2"w
This is one of 25 individual pieces found in the courthouse trash by G. Frank Wathen and given by him to J. Allan Coad, who subsequently gave them to Mr. Fenwick. The archivist found the documents folded and bundled together at the bottom of a carton that was part of Mr. Fenwick's collection; some of the pieces are so frail, it is a miracle they survived.
George H. Morgan, in his capacity as trustee for Mary Julian Fowler and her children, petitioned the Circuit Court to be allowed to pay various judgments against Mrs. Fowler and the trustee, using any money that came into his hands from the trust's funds. The petition was presented on March 21, 1861.
