Description

This book is 17 1/2"h x 10 1/2" w x 5" d. Only the front cover remains--red marbled paper with black leatherette corners and spine edge. The spine cover and back cover are completely gone. There are 240 pages of very carefully installed material. The material and the book are quite frail now and should be handled as little as possible. References to "cut outs" means commercially made, good quality color prints of fruit and flowers and pretty girls and objects on heavy paper that were made to be put on the wall or a cork board and were often used by teachers. There are a lot of them in the scrapbook. "Factoids" are very short articles or fillers in magazines or newspapers on the order of "A nursing baby whale doubles its weight every 2 days" or something of that ilk. "Moral lessons" are stories or outright instructions about appropriate behavior for certain situations.
