Six young men are outside in the trees. Three young men in the front row are seated cross-legged on the ground, two young men are kneeling behind and the middle person is standing in front of the tree trunk. The five young men on the ground are dressed in sleeveless athletic shirts in a very dark color, shorts of varying colors, high dark socks and rubber and canvas shoes--basketball shoes. The young man in front of the tree has on his school uniform and cap. The pants are darker than the jacket and all the edges of the jacket are bound in a dark material. There is a band of the same color about four inches above the sleeve cuff edge and there are three chevron stripes on each arm denoting his rank. He is James Carlton Todd, the student manager. One of the kneeling players has on a dark sweater. The players are identified on the back of the photograph.
